1. Mizuho Leasing complies with all environmental laws and regulations and constantly works to improve its environmental activities as a company that is aware of its corporate social responsibility.
2. We aim to contribute to both the environmental and economic development of society by supplying products and services that help protect the environment.
3. Equipment that has reached the end of its lease period is always managed appropriately, but we also promote the recycling and reuse of equipment as part of our efforts to create a recycling-based society.
4. We work to ascertain the environmental impact of all our business activities and develop initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and prevent pollution.
In lease transactions, equipment "owned" by leasing companies is "used" by clients, so after the lease term expires, the equipment will be returned to the leasing companies for destruction, sale, disposal, etc. Mizuho Leasing Group screens for expired equipment that can be reused or used as materials, and applies the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) by taking suitable disposal measures such as selling equipment to used-item dealers or consigning it to recycling companies. Actions like these help to keep the circular society operating.
Mizuho Leasing and seven other Group companies have earned certification for the international environmental standard, ISO 14001.
Mizuho Leasing Group ensures that our environmental management system (PDCA cycle) operates properly. To this end, the Chief Sustainability Officer oversees the Environmental Management Officer who is responsible for managing environmental activities as a whole, and our Environmental Management Department and Environmental Operations Officer in each Group company promote activities to achieve our environmental goals.
